Welfare Officer is appointed by the Master.
Responsibilities –
1. Assist C/O in ensuring cleanliness in accommodation spaces (includes passageways, mess-rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms and toilets).
2. Ensure provision of basic requirements for crew (eg. food, uniform).
3. Assist Master to create motivating environment onboard.
4. Ensure that crew mail/correspondences are handled efficiently.
